This collection consists of materials related to Ortiz's work with National Latino/a Lesbian and Gay Organization (LLEGO) and Lesbianas Unidas. Materials include newsletters, informational booklets and pamphlets, materials from Dyke TV, event flyers, resources and guides for substance abuse, issue of conMoción and New City, conference programs, reports, and printed articles. The issues of conMoción include writing by Tatiana de la Tierra.

Biographical / Historical
Sandra Ortiz was involved with both the National Latino/a Lesbian and Gay Organization (LLEGO) and Lesbianas Unidas. She worked for the Alcoholism Center for Women (ACW) and had a special focus on working with Latinas and lesbians struggling with addiction. Ortiz was also a frequent contributor and editor to Divas Magazine, a Los Angeles-based bilingual publication for lesbians.

Abstract
Sandra Ortiz was involved with both the National Latino/a Lesbian and Gay Organization (LLEGO) and Lesbianas Unidas. She worked for the Alcoholism Center for Women (ACW) and had a special focus on working with Latinas and lesbians struggling with addiction. This collection consists of materials related to her work with LLEGO, ACW, and Lesbianas Unidas, as well as resources on how to support Latinas, lesbians, and Latina lesbians with addiction. Materials include newsletters, informational booklets and pamphlets, notes, flyers, correspondence, manuals, planners, resources and guides for substance abuse, magazines, reports, and printed articles.
