Abstract

Tomas Benitez has decades of experience in the Los Angeles Chicano cultural community. He has served as director of development at Plaza de la Raza and executive director of Self-Help Graphics. He is also a founding member of the Latino Arts Network. This collection of magazines, posters, gallery cards and show/gallery invitations comprises his personal collection of ephemera, memorabilia and realia relating to his experience and participation in the world of Los Angeles arts.

Antonio Bernal (born Forrest Hopping Jr. in 1937) is an activist, actor, artist, teacher, and writer. His collection includes correspondence, personal writings, photographs, and audiovisual materials documenting his travels, artwork, and the Kaweah Colony of which his great-grandfather help found. Materials date from the mid-1880s to 2019, with the bulk of the collection dating from 1970-2000.

Francesco X. Siqueiros is an arts educator, print maker and publisher. This collection consists of his spiral journals and a collection of handwritten notes that correspond to Wassily Kandinsky's Point and Line to Plane. There are also open reel audio tapes from his Seattle-based radio program "Philosophy in the Street" produced from 1978 to 1979.
