Scope and Contents

The collection consists of correspondence, photographs, and publicity material documenting Lusha's modeling career and her work as a child actor. There are also books and artwork by Lusha, as well as clothing and realia. There is material on television projects, especially George Lopez (ABC, 2002-2007). There is a significant amount of material related to Lusha's childhood in Macomb County, Michigan.

Biographical / Historical

Masiela Lusha was born October 23, 1985 in Tirana, Albania. At the age of seven her family moved to Macomb County, Michigan. Active in the theater and dance communities there, she moved to Los Angeles at age thirteen and pursued work as a model and actress. Her big break came when she was cast as Carmen, the daughter of George Lopez on his eponymous sitcom. Lusha attended UCLA even while she was appearing on the show. She is also an author, having published a book of poetry and a children's book.
