This collection is comprised of artifacts created and collected by Alicia Gaspar de Alba and Sandra Ruiz for a student-led exhibit on the Maquiladora Murders in Juarez, as well as items from a conference related to the subject. Materials include clothing, artistic displays and objects, and papers.

Physical Description

1 black high heel. The shoe is painted in red and yellow swirls. The word "LIFE" is painted in yellow on the back of the shoe. A red ribbon and green beads are wrapped all around the shoe. Red and yellow popsicle sticks are glued to the shoe. Strings of clear and blue beads are stuffed inside the shoe. A red and white beaded handle is glued from the insole to the heel. A red ribbon with black footprints is glued to the heel. A gold heart-shaped pendant is glue to the toe. A photograph of woman is glued to the toe of the shoe.
