Scope and Contents
This collection is comprised of artifacts created and collected by Alicia Gaspar de Alba and Sandra Ruiz for a student-led exhibit on the Maquiladora Murders in Juarez, as well as items from a conference related to the subject. Materials include clothing, artistic displays and objects, and papers.

Conditions Governing Access
Open for research. Access is available by appointment for UCLA students and faculty, as well as independent researchers. Advance requests can be made via the Archival Research Application on the CSRC Library website.

Physical Description
Six pillow cases printed with images and patterns. The first pillow case is a pale yellow and has a printed image of a woman in black and white and text that reads: TO WORK AND DIE IN JUAREZ. The second pillowcase is striped and pale blue, pink, and purple, and has several black and brown stains and faint red stains in the shape of crosses. The third pillowcase is a pale green and has printed images of a woman under a small paragraph of text and a headline that reads: YANKEE! WELCOME TO MEXICO. The fourth pillowcase is light brown and has 2 red handprints. The fifth pillowcase has a floral print in brown, green, and blue, and is printed with an image of a phone jack connection that links to an indigenous figurine. The image is titled: CODEX-PESADILLA.COM. The sixth pillowcase is white with a pale lavender floral print. It is printed with black squares of a blurry image of eyes and red text that reads: GAZE.
