Scope and Contents

This series contains Yolanda's personal papers and her correspondence. This includes personal materials dating back to her childhood, photographs and mementos of her parents, and materials created during her memorial following her death. The correspondence includes both personal and professional letters and emails. Materials include clippings, photographs, LGBT guides and sources, notebooks, diplomas, ephemera, certificates, greeting cards, and programs.

Much of the ephemera in this series is flyers, stickers, pamphlets, and guides related to LGBTQ community and events in Los Angeles. There are also several boxes of t-shirts collected by Yolanda. They largely feature political slogans or are for events and festivals for the LGBTQ community.
